We are exited to bring you the new updates from our Negida Academy team in the form of NA monthly newsletter.
NA Members Projects (Improvement)
For better supervision and more active participation in all specialities, Dr. Hamam has internally recruited +50 senior researchers across all specialities to kick off new projects and provide more supervision for old/current members. The senior members will work beside speciality leads starting this month and for one year at least!
NA Primary Projects (NEW)
Last week, Dr. Negida met with the speciality leaders and put an agenda to utilize research registeries around the world (similar to SEER) to make new research publications from these databases. As a US research organization, our team will request access to these databases. Dr. Negida will be helping all speciality leaders and senior members to download these databases, code the data, merge patient files, and get everything ready for NA team members to work on. These data will be protected and stored on private NA cloud servers but it will be available to be analyzed for publications by any team inside NA. Stay tuned! We will keep you updated.
Onboarding for incoming members
To make sure the current and new members fit well in the team and understand everything in the system, we created a new coaching provided by Dr. Negida himself. All the current and new members were added to this training. You will be able to access this through your account on courses.negida.com from the library, scroll down until you see this product below :D
Please, note that 100% of participants from the 2025 Winter season who filled the membership form here: https://airtable.com/appu1wzGksMEswzdH/pagSms4gvUwadf95q/form were invited to the team. As we promised before, we do not exclude anyone. Those who did not complete the training or fill the form were not added. We look forward to their application in the future cycles.
NA Members App
The developer asked us to upgrade to the new version of the app, because the app currently is missing a lot of functions (not working optimally). I would appreciate your patience during this period. Make sure you at least register all studies there and enroll members from the new incoming cohort through opening an application there.
Please, be aware that a minor upgrade is coming at the first week of August. All information will remain (nothing will be deleted) but the app will be working much better.
There is a major upgrade in 2026. The app will be completely changed to a new app (that we are currently working on) and it will support more functionalities including pulling your publications from PubMed, acting as your CV, recommeding (NEW) project ideas for you!
Negida Show (season 2)
The lecture was uploaded on the old website but there is a problem in video processing. So we uploaded the lecture to the new courses website and you can access it for free here: https://courses.negida.com/offers/ETYZx4eL?coupon_code=SHOW2025
2025 Mentorship Lectures (Free)
All the academy members were invited for 6 lectures of mentorship distributed over the remaining months of the year.
First lecture will be on July 13, 2025 (7:00 PM Cairo time) where Dr. Negida will help you craft a professional CV to better present yourself for competitive opportunities.
Second lecture will be on July 27, 2025 featuring Abdullah Adel who successfully got both master's and PhD scholarships in Europe and is currently completing his PhD in France. He will walk you through basic science research opportunities in Europe and scholarships.
Following lectures will be announced once confirmed. All these lectures exist on our new platform: courses.negida.com once you log in with your account, under the library section "2025 Mentorship Program".
